[First Taste! Anime Opening]

Once again, you're animation quality blasts most of anything else on Newgrounds off this planet. Reminds me of some cutesy anime opening like Dragon Maid's or something... Nice job!

In the first shot, yes her thumb does happened to be on the outside of her hand. But I do agree... that's no reason to give it one star. I guess the reason I didn't give it five is that there isn't anything particularly substantial about this animation (yes I'm aware that is intentional, however it is still grounds for why it's not a five star). The animation quality itself is very nice, even if it could use a bit of polishing in the shading and lighting (like anything by Kyoto Animation which is why they make some of the best looking shows ever - they've mastered that final step).

The only shot I think can cause confusion is after she throws the egg and the thumb may look like on the outside. Btw, the dude below did apologize privately with constructive criticism privately. I could've done some more shading and lighting, but I got lazy and just wanted to get done with this since I spent 40 days on it. Anyways, thanks for the response!

[IN-SHADOW: A Modern Odyssey]

As far as the overall animation quality... I can only really give it that it's a lot of pictures (well drawn pictures) accompanied by effects. However, one must not underestimate the message and themes behind all art. The music choice is definitely a plus as well. This felt a tiny bit like reading old political cartoons, but darker with a more sinister tone that can only be achieved by what you pulled off here.

Your beautiful animation coupled with the masterful color schemes and "polish" if you may call it that reminds me of the works of Kyoto Animation. This, more specifically, reminded me of "A Silent Voice."

The art style is really interesting. The character designs feel completely fresh even if there's nothing incredibly innovative or symbolical about them. My biggest complaints are the frame-rate and fluidity of the animation, the backgrounds, and obviously, the procrastination. I guess I'm not really one to talk as a fellow procrastinator though...

yeah some of the frames art timed weird I tend to animate on 2s but sometimes i play around with it and its on 4s or other timings. where other scenes are on 1s which can be a bit jarring. For the backgrounds I was like "Oh my god i just need to put something there" as i stared at a white screen. lol. Procrastination wish it was easier to stop doing i need to setup a calendar when i start my next project. Thanks again for your review. Hope you can also stomp out procrastination.
