Really cool. Needs more powerful drums and better mixing. It clips out a lot.

I'm getting some "Virtual Riot and Datsik | Nasty" vibes

Sounds like Datsik and Excision stuff. Sounds good even though I don't really like Riddim stuff.

Yes! Beginning is awesome and sets the tone. Yes! Middle section changes it up. Yes! End: the samurai gets another clean kill under his belt. Well done! Filthy! I freaking love it! Reminds me of "Jingo Jungle" the opening from "Saga of Tanya the Evil."

Fun. Like a mixture of dubstep, metal, and chiptune lmao. This is a fun listen. How far did you downtune your guitar. I wanna hear you shred in the next track...

This is soundation isn't it?

DavJT responds:

nope

Not really drum and bass... I can see what you were going for, but it sounds like you threw together a bunch of presets. There's little to no mixing or thought out sound design. The snare is way overpowered by that reverbed kick which is in desperate need of a compressor... Anyway, this is track is just sounding somewhat amateur. You actually have good ideas. It's just the execution that needs work.

Mixing. Everything sounds like it's in the same frequency. Slope some of the chord layers (assuming you actually layered the chords instead of just sticking them in doubled octaves). The piano at 0:44 is a nice touch though. For a trance song, it could do well to sound more spacey. Add some arcing pads over everything to add some shimmer and shine. 1:11 was a classic trick used in trance that will never get old. However, this brings me to my next point: the drums. I guess the kick is okay, although it could be bettered with a compressor (but that's just part of mixing). That snare sounds like a house snare rather than something I'd use in a trance song EVER. Like a light clap or a few hats. The hats you used were well mixed for trance music though. I also like these chord progressions. It just is too bass heavy which makes it sound more like "industrial" trance (if that's even a thing lol) and I can't picture flying through a maze of light, fluffy clouds (like the title).

Ryzmik responds:

Thank you very much for the review! I'm not so good at mixing and I have problems with choosing good drums samples. Also I'm learning to use some FX, like the compressor and the equalizers. One last thing: I'm very bad at putting names for my songs :P

You use Cymatics? I would vary your snares more and add chords in the areas between drops. Nice compression tho. The mixing is better in this one. It has a fair bit of clipping though... and that ending is rather abrupt.

Rodabanga responds:

No I don't, and yeah obviously its something unfinished :D

This needs chords, and watch the clipping. In other words, you need to go over all the mixing. Also, I'd like it if you changed up the chord progressions and styles. Add some M9 and M11 chords just to spice it up a bit. The lead is decent. No offense, but that growl sounds kinda outdated, especially in a genre (dubstep) that seems to be dying. For glitch hop, it could do to be a tad faster.

Rodabanga responds:

The only m9 I know is the gun. Thanks for your suggestions bro
